| Overview: |
WebMON™ is the first software hardware Network Element Management solution to enable equipment manufacturers to integrate SNMP and Web server capabilities into its products. Requiring no R&D investment, WebMON™ converts any device into a true Network Element at a fraction of legacy solution costs.
The WebMON™ software hardware package is a highly flexible solution that integrates with both existing and new product designs.
| Embedded into the hardware or applied as an external adapter, WebMON™, provides complete control of the device with a simple Web-browser. The package supports industry standard management protocols such as SNMP and Telnet and can be deployed with a single Ethernet LAN port or with an integrated on-board Ethernet switch providing 4 LAN ports. |
Implementation:
WebMON™ is the first software based solution of its kind on the market, yet implementing it is a simple matter; WebSilicon provides the managed device developer with a hardware reference platform that can easily be duplicated into their existing or new design PCB. WebMON™ firmware communicates with the managed device using simple RS232 commands or general purpose IO pins, and becomes a fully compliant, industry-standard HTTP server and SNMP agent for the managed device. The managed device itself remains unchanged.
